CHICKEN STEW

This Chicken Stew recipe is adopted from western recipes. Usually stew more viscous. This Chicken Stew recipe is of course many variations, not always exactly the same as the Chicken Stew Recipe that we share here.

CHICKEN STEW

Basically, Chicken Stew is a piece of chicken cooked with vegetables to tender. Besides being easy, these foods are also healthy because they contain protein from chicken meat, and vitamins from vegetables.

For the type of vegetables themselves can be selected according to taste. Sometimes there are also those who add peas. Other variations can be from chicken meat replaced with beef, then the name changes to Beef Stew.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 8 pieces of chicken
  • 1 cup of water
  • 2 small garlic, chopped
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1½ tablespoons of salt
  • ½ spoon of pepper
  • 3 medium tomatoes, cut into small pieces
  • 1 spoonful of parsley, chopped
  • 1¼ celery cup, finely chopped
  • 2 medium size potatoes, peeled & cut into pieces
  • 2 small carrots, cut into pieces
  • 2 bay leaves
INSTRUCTIONS:
  1. Clean the chicken from the skin and fat. In a large pan, put chicken, water, garlic, onions, salt, pepper, tomatoes and parsley. Cover the pan tightly and cook on low heat for 25 minutes.
  2. Add celery, potatoes, carrots and bay leaf. Continue to cook for another 15 minutes or until the chicken and vegetables are tender. Raise the bay leaves before serving.
